Product Compatibility

Road Brake Cordz

Brakes – Road Brake Cordz are compatible with brakes that use a 5mm cable anchor bolt (ex. Campagnolo, SRAM and Zero Gravity brakes) and 6mm cable anchor bolt (ex. newer Shimano brakes) by replacing the cable anchor bolt with the applicable Power Cordz 5mm or 6mm Brake Clasp.

Brakes – Road Brake Cordz are also compatible with brakes that use a traditional cable fixing bolt where the Road Brake Cordz can be wrapped around the cable anchor bolt 180 degrees (and tightened under a washer to the manufacturer’s torque specification).

Shifters – Road Brake Cordz anchor heads are compatible with Shimano, Campagnolo and SRAM shifter / brake levers.

Housing – Road Brake Cordz are compatible with traditional and aftermarket 5mm brake housing, including Power Cordz 5mm housing, and with Nokon housing when used with the Power Cordz Nokon compatible liner.

MTB Brake Cordz

Brakes – MTB Brake Cordz are compatible with MTB V-brakes and Cantilever brakes that use a 5mm cable anchor bolt and 6mm cable anchor bolt (ex. most Shimano and Avid MTB brakes) by replacing the cable anchor bolt with the applicable Power Cordz 5mm or 6mm Brake Clasp.

Brakes – MTB Brake Cordz are also compatible with brakes that use a traditional cable fixing bolt where the Cordz can be wrapped around the cable anchor bolt 180 degrees (and tightened under a washer to the manufacturer’s torque specification).

Shifters – MTB Brake Cordz are compatible with brake levers that use the standard sized MTB brake anchor including Shimano and Avid brake levers.

Housing – MTB Brake Cordz are compatible with traditional and aftermarket 5mm brake housing, including Power Cordz 5mm housing, and with Nokon housing when used with the Power Cordz Nokon compatible liner.

Derailleur Cordz

Derailleurs – Derailleur Cordz are compatible with derailleur's that use a traditional cable fixing bolt where the Cordz can be wrapped around the cable anchor bolt 180 degrees and tightened under a washer to the manufacturer’s torque specification (ex. Shimano, Campagnolo and SRAM).

Shifters – Derailleur Cordz are compatible with Shimano, Campagnolo and SRAM Road shifter / brake levers.

Shifters – Derailleur Cordz are compatible with 07 Shimano XTR MTB shifters without modification, with SRAM X0 grip and trigger MTB shifters without modification and with pre-07 Shimano XTR MTB shifters with slight modification to the right shifter (by enlarging the cable inlet hole with a 1/16 drill bit).

Housing – Derailleur Cordz are compatible with traditional and aftermarket 5mm derailleur housing, including Power Cordz 5mm housing, and with Nokon housing when used with the Power Cordz Nokon compatible liner.
