Based in beautiful Boise, ID, Io DuPont develops high-end technology products to optimize performance of its intended application.   Our flagship product, Power Cordz, is a synthetic fiber cable system designed to address the problems of steel control cables currently used on the bicycle. Steel cables are prone to stretching, corroding and they carry unnecessary weight.  Years of research, testing and teaming up with the best synthetic fiber experts yielded a superior cable, Power Cordz, a fiber control cord that does not corrode and is 75% lighter than the current standard! Power Cordz are sold worldwide through multiple distribution chains. Io DuPont is currently working on a CVT Transmission that is expected to revolutionize the bicycle and simultaneously impact multiple industries including wind, electric cars, scooters, dam generators amoung several others.

Anthony J. DuPont - CEO & Founder

Tony started Io DuPont in 2004 with a vision to bring innovative technology to the Bike, Automobile, Energy and Aerospace markets. Before he started Io DuPont Tony was the Lead Engineer for SCP Global where he was responsible for design and manufacturing of their surface preparation tools. Before SCP he was the Project Manager for Nelson Construction: there he was responsible for a Federal Superfund clean-up site. Prior to that Tony was a Field Engineer for Alexander & Associates where he was responsible for designing and building a Limestone screening plant. Tony received his Bachelors in Engineering from the University of Idaho where he was also a member of the Idaho ski team.

John Burdekin - COO

John has worked in the software and technology industry for more than 20 years. Immediately before joining IoDuPont as COO, John was an independent management consultant specializing in small & early stage companies. Before his successful consulting career John was VP of Technical Operations, at Attensity, where he was responsible for all customer facing operations. Before Attensity, John occupied senior leadership positions at SumTotal Systems; as SumTotal’s VP of Technical Operations, John increased the company’s services operating margin by over 40%, as VP of Alliances at SumTotal, John implemented a successful OEM/VAR strategy that increased partner related revenue by over 100%. Prior to SumTotal Systems, John was the Director of Technical Sales for Vantive Corporation, where his teams consistently over achieved their goals by as much as 200%. Earlier in his career, John worked in senior technical and management positions at LUCID, Atherton Technology, Prime Computers, and Ford Aerospace. John has a Bachelors degree in mathematics and computer science from Humboldt State University.

Kate Nelson - Sales & Finance Manager

Kate Nelson joined Io DuPont in 2008 as our finance and supply chain manager, and because of her success she has also been given responsibility for sales worldwide. Prior to joining Io DuPont Kate was a Program Manager for the Nampa School District in Nampa, Idaho. As their Program Manager she fulfilled P&L, staffing and performance responsibilities for all school district programs. Additionally she was also responsible for purchasing and vendor relations. Prior to the Nampa School District she worked with Witco, an Idaho company, where she was responsible for training and accounts receivables. She attended the University of Idaho where she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees with top honors. In her spare time she is an amateur tri-athlete.
